Mother of Two Passes Away Unexpectedly Following Complications from Emergency C-Section: 'She was Beloved by All'

Cassidy Arnold, 33, tragically passed away on November 26 due to complications from an emergency C-section, leaving behind her husband and two young sons. She was widely loved both by her family and her community.

Cassidy worked as a daycare manager at Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe, California, where she cared deeply for the children of resort guests and staff. Her father, Jason Simpson, described her as someone who loved everybodys kids and always went above and beyond to ensure they felt supported and valued.

Her sister-in-law, Aimie Pieper, shared that Cassidys husband, Trent Arnold, is now navigating life as a single parent to their newborn, Sam, and their four-year-old, Charlie, while also managing medical and funeral expenses.

In addition to her dedication to her own children, Cassidy advocated for affordable year-round child care for resort employees, reflecting her commitment to helping families beyond her own. Vail Resorts, the parent company of Heavenly Ski Resort, honored her for her calm energy, her kindness and her unwavering care.

Since Cassidys passing, her family has been supported by the local community, including donations of breast milk. A GoFundMe page established for the family has raised over $80,000 as of December 3. Her father expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, while acknowledging the family is still adjusting to their loss.
