A 23-year-old man from Nottingham has been sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for his role in a county lines drug operation in Lincolnshire. Tyreece Moran, residing on Brooksby Lane, admitted to supplying cocaine and heroin in the Grantham area during a hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.
Alongside his prison term, Moran is required to surrender his mobile phones and any cash connected to the offences. He has also been placed under a five-year Serious Crime Prevention Order, designed to reduce the risk of involvement in future serious criminal activity.
County lines refers to criminal networks that traffic drugs from urban centers into smaller towns and rural communities. Police identified Morans involvement after stopping him in July and tracing him to an active drug distribution line.
Detective Constable Simon Nash from Lincolnshire Police stated: "Exploiting young people for drug trafficking will not be tolerated. We are dedicated to protecting residents and ensuring the safety of our communities."
