Four people arrested for murder following discovery of deceased man

Authorities have detained four individuals suspected of involvement in a murder after a man suffered a fatal chest injury. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary responded shortly before 23:30 GMT on Wednesday to reports of a confrontation on Belmont Road, located in the Portswood neighborhood of Southampton.

The unidentified male victim was declared dead at the scene, with police describing the event as an isolated occurrence. Those arrested include three men aged 22, 26, and 51, along with a 52-year-old woman, all residents of Southampton. They remain in police custody while inquiries continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Rebekah Bartholomew stated that officers will maintain a presence in the area over the next several days as investigations proceed. Authorities are urging anyone with information, CCTV recordings, or video evidence related to the incident to come forward.
