A retired police officer has been formally charged with two counts of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour. Daniel Boulter, 49, from Loxley in Sheffield, is accused of committing these offences between 2015 and 2018 while serving with Lincolnshire Police.
Boulter joined Lincolnshire Police in 2014 and departed in 2019, retiring from law enforcement shortly thereafter, according to a spokesperson for the force.
He is scheduled to appear before Leicester Magistrates' Court on 17 December.
