Authorities have secured and boarded up two residences following suspicions of drug activity and violent incidents. Local law enforcement reported that both homes in Gateshead had been associated with various crimes, including anti-social behavior.
Northumbria Police confirmed that magistrates recently approved closure orders for the properties located on Simonside Place in Wrekenton and Kingston Road in Deckham. These orders make it a criminal offense for anyone to enter the homes without permission, with potential arrest for violators.
Sgt. Elliot Richardson emphasized that tips and complaints from neighbors played a crucial role in prompting the police to take these measures.
