The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched strikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon on Thursday afternoon, following a formal evacuation warning for local residents.
The evacuation alert focused on the villages of Jibaa and Mahrouna, instructing inhabitants to move at least 300 meters away from the areas slated for military action.
IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee emphasized that the operations aim to dismantle Hezbollah's military infrastructure and prevent the group from reestablishing its activities in the region. He cautioned that remaining near the designated sites would pose significant risks to civilians.
Accompanying Adraee's announcement on X/Twitter was a detailed map indicating the locations of the forthcoming strikes.
