Woman Accused of 'Sabotage' After Exposing Affair with Sister's Boyfriend Who Pretended to Be 'Saving' Himself

A 25-year-old woman has caused a family rift after disclosing that she had been romantically involved with her sisters current boyfriend during their teenage years. Her sister, who believed both she and her fianc had abstained from intimacy until marriage, reacted with shock and accused her sibling of dishonesty. The revelation has led to estrangement, with the woman reportedly being uninvited from the wedding unless she retracts her statement.

The woman turned to Reddit to share her experience and seek support following the tense confrontation. In her post, she explained that her sister became enraged after learning about the past relationship, which had occurred when they were all teenagers. She described the relationship as brief and casual. When I was 16, I dated my sisters now-fianc for about six months, she wrote, noting that it was not a serious relationship.

Although they were intimate during that period, she emphasized that it was limited and consensual, and that the relationship ended without animosity. Over the years, they remained friends, and life went on as the sisters grew into adulthood. Later, when her sister reconnected with her ex, she asked if it would bother her. The poster reassured her sister that she had no lingering feelings and supported the new relationship fully, as the teenage romance had been nearly ten years in the past.

She noted that the couple had been dating for three years, during which her ex sought her help with planning a marriage proposal. She supported them wholeheartedly and genuinely wished them happiness.

The conflict emerged during a recent dinner, when her sister joked about feeling like an old maid while claiming both she and her fianc had been saving themselves for marriage. Confused, the woman asked for clarification, and her sister affirmed that both had abstained their entire lives. Recognizing this wasnt true, she exchanged a glance with her ex, which her sister noticed and pressed her for an explanation.

Feeling trapped, she admitted: We had sex in high school, although it didn't really mean anything. Her sister reacted with anger, directing initial frustration at her fianc for lying, then turning her ire toward the woman. The sister accused her of attempting to sabotage the marriage, despite the woman insisting she had no romantic feelings for her ex and had no intention to harm anyone.

The couple left abruptly, and the following day, the sister sent a message stating that the woman would not be invited to the wedding unless she claimed to have lied. The woman expressed regret about how the disclosure unfolded but maintained she owed the truth to her sister, as her fiancs claims about abstinence were false.
