Wychavon District Council has confirmed the green light for a new residential project in Worcestershire, where 100 homes are set to be constructed in Droitwich. The planned estate will occupy land located between Tagwell Road and the M5 motorway.
Bromford Housing Association, the developer behind the project, has announced that all properties will be designated as affordable housing. Initial outline permission was granted on appeal in 2020, and now the council has approved detailed plans despite objections from some local residents.
One resident commented: "Despite numerous efforts to prevent it, this development appears unavoidable. My hope is that local residents will receive proper consideration to reduce disruption to our community and nearby natural areas."
Council planning officials stated that the proposed development "would deliver a high-quality residential area while maintaining an acceptable impact on surrounding homes and respecting the character of the locality."
