Burger King introduces new Spongebob menu in anticipation of movie premiere

Burger King has unveiled a limited-time menu inspired by the upcoming animated film The SpongeBob Movie: Search For SquarePants. The movie, part of the beloved SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, follows SpongeBob as he ventures into the deep sea to confront the legendary Flying Dutchman while aiming to prove his courage to Mr. Krabs.

Coinciding with the films December 19 release, the fast-food chain started offering the themed menu on December 2. The collection features the Krabby Whopper, served on a bright yellow square bun and layered with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayo, and ketchup. Another savory option is Mr. Krabs Cheesy Bacon Tots, a combination of melted cheese, bacon bits, and tender potato pieces, presented in a treasure chest-shaped carton reminiscent of the Krusty Krab.

Sweet options include Patricks Star-berry Shortcake Pie, a strawberry shortcake-inspired dessert with strawberry and vanilla cream layers, cookie crumb crust, shortcake crumbles, and pink star-shaped sprinkles. Fans can also enjoy the Pirates Frozen Pineapple Float, a frozen pineapple drink topped with tropical flavored foam.

For those who want to try the full set of themed items, the Bikini Bottom Bundle includes a pineapple-shaped Under the Sea Box, a medium float, and an eight-piece serving of Cheesy Bacon Tots. Kids can enjoy the King Jr. Meal, which also comes in a pineapple-shaped box and features one of six collectible SpongeBob toys along with a limited-edition SpongeBob crown.

This collaboration with The SpongeBob Movie may be our most exciting menu yet, with four unique menu items, exclusive kids toys, and special edition packaging including two limited-edition BK crowns.

Burger King is not alone in offering temporary themed meals. McDonalds recently introduced the Grinch Meal for the holidays, which includes Dill Pickle Grinch Salt McShaker Fries, a choice of Big Mac or 10-piece chicken nuggets, a medium drink, and one pair of Grinch-themed socks in red, green, blue, or yellow. The fries come with a bag of dill pickle seasoning, allowing customers to adjust the flavor to their liking.
