Exclusive look at Bad Bunny's stats: How he became Spotify Wrapped's top global artist

For the fourth time, Bad Bunny has claimed the title of Spotify's Global Top Artist. The announcement was made as part of Spotify Wrapped, the streaming platforms highly anticipated year-end report, highlighting Benitos position as the most-streamed musician worldwide.

This marks a return to dominance for Bad Bunny, who previously led the global charts in 2020, 2021, and 2022, before being surpassed by Taylor Swift in 2023 and 2024. Spotify revealed that if one person tried to listen to all Bad Bunny streams from 2025 consecutively, it would take an astonishing 124,620 years.

The Puerto Rican star enjoys a devoted following of 27 million listeners, and his music is streamed more than 60 million times every day. His album "DeB TiRAR MS FOToS" was also named Spotifys Global Top Album of 2025, further cementing his influence in the streaming world.

Bad Bunnys recent 31-date concert residency in Puerto Rico was a heartfelt tribute to his home island and its people. Despite criticism from some public figures in the United States regarding his Spanish-language performances, his popularity remains unquestionable. Interestingly, the United States ranked as the top non-Spanish-speaking market for his music.

Mia Nygren, Spotifys general manager for Latin America, described his achievement as unprecedented. She praised Bad Bunny for embracing his Puerto Rican roots in a way that resonates universally: Hes telling meaningful stories in a language that connects globally.

Spotify is celebrating his global recognition with a series of fan events in Paris, Mexico City, Madrid, Puerto Rico, and Bogot, alongside a short film featuring Sapo Concho, a native Puerto Rican crested frog, highlighting the albums cultural significance. The campaign launches on December 3, spotlighting how Bad Bunnys work elevates Puerto Ricos music and identity worldwide.

Nygren emphasized the loyalty of Bad Bunnys fan base, noting that his recognition as Spotifys Global Top Artist comes directly from listener engagement rather than industry designation. In doing so, he demonstrates that authentic, locally rooted stories can resonate with audiences everywhere, regardless of language.

Bad Bunnys trajectory continues with his upcoming world tour and a scheduled performance as the headliner for Super Bowl 2026, showcasing his enduring influence on global music culture.
