Kim Kardashian Developed Escape Plan in Case Attackers Returned to Paris Hotel

During the December 4 episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian reflected on her 2016 Paris robbery while preparing to testify in court against ten suspects involved in the incident. She recounted the intense fear she felt immediately after the heist, including a plan she made to escape through a hotel window if her attackers came back.

At the time, Kim had been tied up, held at gunpoint, and robbed of over $10 million in jewelry at the No Address Hotel. She described herself as being in "fight or flight" mode during the ordeal and willing to do anything to survive.

Kims childhood friend, Simone Harouche, who had been staying in the hotel room below and overheard the robbery, also testified. Harouche recalled Kim opening a window and saying, If they come back, were jumping out the window. Kris Jenner received a panicked call from Kim, who was ready to leap if the masked thieves returned. Harouche reflected on the terror they felt: Thats how scary it was, that that was the option for safety jumping out of a window and breaking our bodies.

In the episode, Kim also explained her choice to wear diamonds to court in Paris. She playfully considered wearing the ring that had been stolen, now replaced, saying, 22 carats, baby! She emphasized that wearing the jewelry was a way to reclaim her power and autonomy, after feeling that the robbery had temporarily taken that away from her.

Kim revealed how the robbery altered her lifestyle, especially her approach to fashion and security: For years, I didnt wear diamonds. It changed the way that I operate in my home, what I keep in my home. I want to taunt the f--- out of these losers. I wanna wear whatever the f--- I wanna wear, if I wanna wear it.

Following her testimony, eight of the ten suspects were found guilty. Kim expressed her gratitude to French authorities for pursuing justice and reflected on the lasting impact of the crime: The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family. While Ill never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all. I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system.

New episodes of The Kardashians air Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
