Kim Kardashian gets emotional remembering Kanye West accusing her of staging her 2016 robbery for television.

In October 2016, Kim Kardashian experienced a terrifying ordeal when masked intruders broke into her hotel room in Paris and robbed her at gunpoint. They stole jewelry valued at millions, including her engagement ring. Kim has described the attack as seven or eight minutes of torture.

During a 2020 interview with David Letterman, she explained that she was restrained with zip ties, duct tape, and handcuffs. The robbers placed her in a bathtub while searching through her belongings, covering her eyes and mouth with tape. Despite the trauma, some people, including her then-husband Kanye West, allegedly suggested the incident was fabricated.

In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim recounted the emotional impact of Kanyes words. My ex-husband had said, And you faked your robbery for a TV show, and had said that in front of all these people," she shared. That was a knife to my heart.

She added, Just to think that someone wouldnt believe you thats so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life it just really bothered me. You dont know who I am.

While Kim did not reveal exactly when the accusation occurred, it was during their marriage. Kanye, who was on tour at the time, interrupted a New York City show after hearing of the incident. The couple divorced in early 2021, and their relationship has since remained strained, with Kanye engaging in public harassment of Kim and her family.

Kims robbery, however, was very real. In May, she testified in a Paris court for six hours, confronting the perpetrators. To finally go to trial and face these people and hear their accounts and apologies, Im like, See, guys, it was real, she said through tears. Im happy its over.

Reflecting on her experience in court, Kim explained, Im just not nervous. This was less than ten minutes of my life. Ive lived an amazing life. Thats always given me a little bit of peace, just to know what was it? Eight, nine minutes? of pure terror and panic arent going to ruin me.
