Olivia Dean's 'The Art of Loving' Reclaims Top Spot on U.K. Albums Chart

British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean has seen her album The Art of Loving return to number one on the U.K.s Official Albums Chart as of December 5. This marks the second time the record has reached the summit, having first hit No. 1 in October, coinciding with her single Man I Need topping the Official Singles Chart.

Since the albums release, Deans popularity has surged. The Art of Loving reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200, while Man I Need climbed to No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Last month, Dean made her debut on Saturday Night Live and actively challenged ticketing platforms Ticketmaster and AXS after the launch of her 2026 North American arena tour. Following complaints about ticket resales above face value, Dean criticized the platforms for providing what she called a disgusting service and successfully secured refunds for affected fans.

Taylor Swifts The Life of a Showgirl rose to No. 2, up one position from the previous week. Deans album has spent four weeks at No. 1 since its October release and has remained in the top three. Sabrina Carpenters Mans Best Friend jumped to No. 3, while her 2024 album Short N Sweet rose to No. 11 after notable chart movement. Carpenter recently concluded a year-long tour supporting both records.

With the holiday season underway, Michael Bubls festive album Christmas, originally released in 2014, landed at No. 4. Tate McRaes So Close to What, newly reissued in a deluxe edition, finished at No. 5.

Emerging rapper EsDeeKid continued his rise with his debut album Rebel entering the top 10 at No. 9, marking his first top 10 appearance on the Official Albums Chart. The album also reached No. 67 on the Billboard 200 amid speculation that actor Timothe Chalamet may be the masked artist, though neither has confirmed the rumors.
