Princess Eugenie recently addressed her absence from the annual Christmas carol service hosted by Kate Middleton. The event, known as "Together at Christmas," took place on December 5, 2025, at Westminster Abbey in London.
Although several members of the royal family attended, Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, were not present this year. Sources indicate that both sisters had been invited to the festive occasion during early autumn but could not attend due to prior commitments.
Following the service, Princess Eugenie shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram Stories, expressing her regret for missing the celebration. She wrote, "Wish Bea and I could have been celebrating tonight with our family," using a familiar nickname for Beatrice. She also extended her wishes to the Prince and Princess of Wales, praising the carol service as "an amazing message of love and hope."
The post featured a photo of the event program displayed on a Christmas tree branch, originally shared by the official Instagram account of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Over the years, both Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have regularly attended the event. Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, had been attending annually since the events debut in 2021, sometimes joined by Edoardo's son, Christopher Woolf. Princess Eugenie had also attended with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, during previous years.
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are the daughters of former Prince Andrew, who recently announced he would step back from using his royal titles and honors. Despite the changes affecting their father, the sisters retain their royal status and the style of Her Royal Highness.
The "Together at Christmas" carol service was attended by a range of royal family members, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, their three children, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Zara Tindall, and Mike Tindall.
