Reasons Taylor Swift hasn't appeared on Chiefs Arrowhead jumbotron

Kansas City Chiefs president Mark Donovan recently addressed why pop superstar Taylor Swift has not appeared on the stadium jumbotron, despite being a frequent visitor since starting her relationship with Travis Kelce in 2023. Their romance became public when Swift attended a Chiefs game in September 2023.

Speaking to sports journalist Kay Adams on the Up & Adams podcast, Donovan explained his approach: My responsibility from the start and I told Travis was to handle this relationship with the same respect we give all players relationships. Its a personal matter. Were not monetizing it or making a spectacle.

He added, Whenever Taylor has been in the stadium and cameras catch her during key plays, we never broadcast her on our big boards. That was intentional, out of respect. We did not want to exploit their relationship.

Donovan also praised Swift personally, stating, Taylor has been wonderful. She is not only a phenomenon but also a genuinely kind and special person.

Swift Keeping a Low Profile at Games

Although Swift continues to attend games, she has deliberately avoided making her presence a focal point this season. Last year, fans could photograph her entering Arrowhead, but this season she has maintained a lower profile, reportedly increasing her personal security for safety reasons.

A source told The US Sun, Measures at Arrowhead are essential for her comfort. She knows she draws attention and prefers to avoid that whenever possible.

Further reports indicate that Swift wants to keep her location private to ensure safety for herself and her friends and family.

Recent Appearances

This season, Swift has attended several home games, including:

  • September 14 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
  • September 28 vs. Baltimore Ravens
  • October 12 vs. Detroit Lions
  • October 19 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
  • October 27 vs. Washington Commanders
  • November 23 vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Chiefs next home game is December 7 against the Houston Texans. Swift has mostly avoided away games this season, with the exception of Super 59 against the Eagles. Fans may have a chance to spot her again at the upcoming home game against the Texans.
