Report: Lack of Video Evidence Does Not Support Tara Reid's Claims of Being Drugged

On November 23, Tara Reid was transported from a Rosemont hotel to a hospital, after claiming that a stranger had tampered with her drink. The American Pie actress suggested that she had been drugged during the incident.

After reviewing the situation, the Rosemont Public Safety Department has indicated that there is no video evidence confirming Reids claims. Surveillance footage from the DoubleTree Chicago OHare Airport hotel did not show anyone interfering with her drink, according to authorities.

While the cameras captured Tara Reid at the hotel bar, no footage shows anyone adding anything to her beverage, the statement explained. A bartender covered her drink when she left the bar, which is a routine safety measure.

The police noted that they cannot currently verify what specific tests the hospital conducted. Reid is reportedly cooperating with authorities to obtain those medical records.

The department added, Pending those results or any new information, our detectives will pursue relevant leads. At this time, there is no evidence of a criminal act, and no suspects are under investigation.

Authorities also emphasized the importance of personal safety: Although there is no proof of drink tampering, this serves as a reminder to never leave drinks unattended. Anyone who feels unsafe or believes they have been drugged should contact local authorities immediately.

The DoubleTree Chicago OHare Airport hotel previously confirmed that their security team provided immediate assistance and medical support when the incident occurred, stressing that the safety of guests and staff is a top priority.
