Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne's 'Platonic' Renewed for Season 3 at Apple

Fans of Sylvia and Will can rejoice, as Apple has confirmed that the comedy series Platonic will return for a third season. This renewal follows the conclusion of the second season, which consisted of ten episodes and wrapped up in October.

In season two, the show continued to explore the quirky dynamics between Rose Byrnes Sylvia and Seth Rogens Will. The pair navigated friendship challenges, including Wills troubled wedding, Sylvias rise in the party scene, and complications with her husband Charlie, a lawyer-turned-author portrayed by Luke Macfarlane.

The second season also featured a special appearance by Byrnes real-life husband, Bobby Cannavale, as Brett Cayote, an action star linked to Charlie. Other notable cast members include Andrew Lopez as Wills former boss Reggie, and Carla Gallo as Katie, Sylvias friend who is romantically involved with Will. The season concluded with the duo deciding to open a bar together as a workaround to a non-compete agreement.

Platonic was created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco and is produced under Sony Pictures Television, where Stollers Global Solutions holds an overall deal. Executive producers include Byrne, Stoller, Delbanco, Conor Welch, Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver of Point Grey Pictures.

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne remain central figures in Apples television slate. Rogens The Studio secured a second season after earning 13 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Byrne also starred in the three-season series Physical and appeared in the holiday film Spirited.
