Platonic Renewed For Third Season By Apple TV

The beloved comedy series Platonic will continue for a third season on Apple TV, with Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne returning to lead the show, TVLine reports.

Co-creators Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco expressed their enthusiasm: "We are thrilled to dive back into the world of 'Platonic' with our incredible collaborators, Rose, Seth, Sony, and Apple."

The show follows Will and Sylvia, longtime friends who reconnect after years apart while navigating the challenges of midlife. The official synopsis describes how "their friendship becomes all-consuming, shaking up their lives in a humorously chaotic way."

Season 2, which premiered in August with 10 episodes, explored Will and Sylvia dealing with new midlife obstacles such as work, weddings, and personal crises. Despite their best efforts to support each other, even the strongest friendships can face unexpected disruptions.

Season 2 also featured guest appearances from former SNL cast members Beck Bennett, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney.

Fans of the series can look forward to more comedic adventures as "Platonic" returns for its third season.
