CNN's Ana Navarro Mocks Trump's 'FIFA Peace Prize' as 'Hall of Fame of Flattery'

CNN analyst Ana Navarro compared the so-called peace prize presented to former President Donald Trump on Friday to a pretend toy given to a child to make them feel important. Trump appeared at the Kennedy Center for the World Cup draw for next years tournament in the United States, but his main purpose was to accept a newly created FIFA Peace Prize designed specifically for its first presentation.

The award came as Trump continued to threaten the relocation of World Cup matches from cities governed by Democrats, citing vague concerns about security. The inaugural honor included a gold trophy and a medal intended to highlight extraordinary contributions to peace and unity, though FIFA offered no explanation of how the recipient was selected.

Trump has repeatedly and without evidence claimed responsibility for ending several conflicts, insisting he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. During Fridays broadcast of AC360, Navarro openly mocked the ceremony. She noted that the week had already included discussions of potential war crimes and Trumps pardon of a former Honduran president convicted of trafficking massive amounts of cocaine into the United States, making FIFA President Gianni Infantinos praise seem trivial to her.

Navarro compared the award to a Fisher Price toy and joked that Infantino deserved a place in a hall of fame of ass kissing. She added that the gesture felt like handing Trump a fake phone with shiny buttons to press, saying Infantino appeared determined to flatter him with a manufactured medal, a gold presentation at the Kennedy Center, and a performance by the Village People.
