Fox Business personalities promoted a novel conservative image by claiming that women become more attractive when they align with the Republican Party. Katrina Campins, a guest on Jesse Watters Primetime, asserted that simply registering as a Republican could enhance a woman's appearance. Campins stated, "All Republican women are hot," with Watters echoing her sentiment, saying, "It is true. So when you register Republican, you just get hotter."
The Mar-a-Lago Look
The hosts referenced a style often called the "Mar-a-Lago face," characterized by glossy, exaggerated features commonly seen among Trump-associated public figures such as Kristi Noem, Matt Gaetz, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Laura Loomer. This aesthetic often involves prominent filler, puffed lips, and a porcelain-like, immobile quality, drawing comparisons to reality TV stars, drag performers, and even sleep-paralysis figures.
Plastic surgeons in Washington, D.C. have noted a rising demand for this particular look since Trump's second term, although patients rarely name it directly. Dr. Anita Kulkarni observed an increase in requests she considers excessive, cautioning clients that too much enhancement can transform their appearance from a refined version of themselves into something more extreme.
Surgeon Kelly Bolden explained that achieving the Mar-a-Lago face typically requires multiple layers of Botox and fillers, creating a deliberate "mask-like" effect rather than subtle refinement.
Fox News Promotes the Style
Campins claimed that GOP affiliation not only brought wisdom with age but also enhanced beauty, likening the process to "aging like good wine." Her comments were sparked by discussions around Republican actress Sydney Sweeney, who has recently been a focal point in culture-war discussions.
Campins remarked, "Shes getting hotter, and theyre so jealous, right? Theyre like, 'Shes so Republican,' she gets hotter by the minute, right? All Republican women are hot! Tell me thats not true." Her statements framed political identity as a factor in personal attractiveness, positioning the GOP-aligned aesthetic as aspirational. Conservative commentators embraced this image, even as surgeons cautioned that overuse of fillers could lead to an unnatural or cartoonish appearance.
From Satire to Branding
This emphasis on political identity and beauty contrasts with earlier social media trends, where TikTok users mocked "Republican makeup" for its heavy-handed application, in a playful response to criticisms of "blue-haired liberal" styles. The conversation reflects the ongoing interplay between politics, aesthetics, and media branding.
