Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth became the subject of widespread mockery after a glaring typo appeared on his nameplate during Tuesdays Cabinet session. The card mistakenly referred to him as the SSecretary of War, while Hegseth addressed his departments lethal maritime operations in the Caribbean and promised to sink narcoterrorists to the bottom of the ocean.
The mistake drew immediate criticism and jokes from political figures, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, who pointed out its unsettling resemblance to the SS, the Nazi paramilitary group responsible for the mass murder of approximately six million Jews during the Holocaust.
