Vikings Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson Makes Surprising Choice Following Fourth Consecutive Loss

The Minnesota Vikings suffered their fourth straight loss in Week 13, dropping to a 4-8 record for the 2025 NFL season after a 26-0 defeat against the Seattle Seahawks. Attention now shifts to Week 14, where the Vikings will aim to secure a win at home versus the Washington Commanders.

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a disappointing performance, recording only two catches for four yards from six targets. With second-year quarterback JJ McCarthy struggling, throwing 10 interceptions over six games, the Vikings opted to start undrafted rookie Max Brosmer against Seattle. Brosmer completed 19 of 30 passes for 126 yards but threw four interceptions, failing to turn the tide.

After a strong 3-2 start led by McCarthy and Carson Wentz, the team has lost six of its last seven games, with the only victory coming in Week 9 against the Detroit Lions. Jefferson himself is experiencing a subpar season, tallying 62 receptions for 799 yards and two touchdowns so far.

Following Sundays defeat, Jefferson chose not to speak to the media. Alec Lewis of The Athletic noted, "Justin Jefferson left the locker room after the Vikings loss today without talking to reporters. The Vikings say Justin Jefferson declined to speak. First time that's happened since I arrived in 2022."

The Vikings will return to action on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1:00 p.m. ET against the Commanders, as both Jefferson and the team continue to navigate challenges at the quarterback position.
