Authorities in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, are probing an illegal hunting event that took place on school grounds, involving all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and spotlights. The incident occurred at Williams Township Elementary School on the morning of November 30, around 3 a.m., resulting in the death of at least one white-tailed deer.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission confirmed that surveillance footage captured individuals riding two ATVs while shooting at deer on the school property. However, the images were not clear enough to identify the suspects.
This event happened not only within the safety perimeter of the elementary school but also near several private homes, the Game Commission stated.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Southeast Region office at 1-833-PGC-HUNT, report via the Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001, or submit tips online through official channels.
