Airbus, one of Europe's leading aerospace companies, has announced that air travel may face interruptions following urgent modification requests for thousands of its aircraft. This action was prompted by findings that strong solar radiation could interfere with essential flight control data.
Approximately 6,000 aircraft, representing roughly half of Airbuss worldwide fleet, are believed to be impacted. Fortunately, the majority of these planes are expected to be corrected through a straightforward software update.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority has indicated that implementing these updates is likely to result in some flight delays and cancellations.
Major airlines including American Airlines, Delta, Air India, Wizz Air, and Air New Zealand have all issued warnings about potential disruptions to their schedules.
