At a London content showcase, the creators behind HBO's A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and Euphoria stirred excitement for their forthcoming seasons. Showrunner Ira Parker described the Game of Thrones prequel as an accessible entry point for viewers new to the Westeros universe. The first season is set to premiere on January 18, 2026.

We guide viewers along a lighter, more welcoming path into Westeros, Parker explained. You can relax and enjoy the journey before the world becomes darker and more intense.

During the event, Parker and HBO drama chief Francesca Orsi highlighted the talents of stars Dexter Sol Ansell and Peter Claffey. Parker humorously addressed the shows modest budget compared to Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, saying, Our budget reflects Dunk, a humble, unpolished character. There are epic stories in this world, but ours is smaller and more personal.

Parker emphasized the relatability of the main character, Ser Duncan the Tall: He comes from the backstreets of Kings Landing, knowing no one. All the nobility he encounters feels absurd, and that uncertainty leads to natural comedy.

The series adapts George R.R. Martins Dunk and Egg novellas, promising a more intimate scope than its predecessors. Parker praised Dexter Sol Ansell as an exceptional young actor and Peter Claffey, a former rugby star, for bringing warmth and humor to his role as Dunk.

HBO Chairman Casey Bloys confirmed that Euphoria Season 3 will debut in April 2026, with showrunner Sam Levinson revealing the season will jump five years ahead in the characters lives. Levinson noted the series draws on personal experiences, exploring the characters transition from school into a world with higher stakes and real consequences.

Bloys also highlighted upcoming series including Steve Carells Rooster, Jason Batemans DTF: St. Louis, the French thriller Privileges, and German spin-off 4 Blocks Zero. He celebrated the global perspective of HBOs 202526 lineup, which includes award-winning and unexpected hits across multiple languages.
