'Landman' is coming back for Season 3

Dec. 5 Paramount+ has officially announced that Landman will return for a third season. The announcement comes shortly after Billy Bob Thornton received a Critics Choice nomination for his performance as Tommy Norris.

The show's second season set new records for the streaming platform, with the premiere episode attracting over 9.2 million views within just two days, according to a press release.

A synopsis for Season 2, which premiered on Nov. 16, revealed the high stakes for the characters: "As oil rises from the earth, so do secrets and Tommy Norris' breaking point may be closer than he realizes. With increasing pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Demi Moore), and the looming presence of his family, surviving in West Texas is neither noble nor easy it is ruthless. Eventually, something has to give."

The cast also includes Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Sam Elliott, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.
