Megan Moroney, who appeared at the 59th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville on November 19, is set to receive a distinguished recognition at Variety's upcoming Hitmakers gala. This event highlights the artists who have achieved remarkable breakthroughs or notable success in 2025.

At the Los Angeles event on Saturday, Moroney will be celebrated as Storyteller of the Year, in recognition of her CMA-nominated album Am I Okay?

Additional honorees revealed include BigXthaPlug, featured on Bailey Zimmerman's hit "All the Way," who will be awarded Hip-Hop Disruptor of the Year. Executives of the Big Loud label, home to artists such as Morgan Wallen, HARDY, and Ernest, will receive the Platinum Decade Award.

Notably, Megan Moroney stands as the sole country artist being recognized as a Hitmaker in 2025. Previously announced honorees comprise Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, Alex Warren, and the three vocalists behind HUNTR/X, the animated K-pop group from Demon Hunters.
