Meghan McCain criticizes Tucker Carlson for fat shaming comments made by guest during Milo interview

Meghan McCain publicly condemned Tucker Carlson after one of his guests referred to her as "fat" and "crazy" during a recent episode of The Tucker Carlson Show. The guest, controversial commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, made the remarks while discussing McCain and her late father, Senator John McCain.

Yiannopoulos specifically said that John McCain bred the fat best friend, a comment directed at Meghan. Responding on social media, McCain stated that while she is very fat, she is also very happy as she prepares to welcome her third child. She criticized both Yiannopoulos and Carlson for allowing the comments to air.

I don't care how many times Tucker talks about being a Christian, that is not Christian behavior to engage in such a conversation on one of the largest podcasts in the world, McCain wrote. She added that the remarks exemplify meanness to women and hypocrisy and reflect broader issues within right-wing politics concerning women voters of her generation.

McCain further emphasized that she does not make [her] living off of ugliness like that and described Yiannopoulos statements as dark.

During the interview, Yiannopoulos, who has previously described himself as ex-gay, also made homophobic remarks. He criticized McCains father and suggested Meghan was every gay mans dream because she allegedly hates herself and cant dress.

This is not the first clash between McCain and Carlson. In October, she called out Carlson on social media for swearing at an attendee during a Turning Point USA event, calling his behavior beneath everyone and contrasting it with the respectful debate style of her father, John McCain.

On the same podcast episode, Yiannopoulos repeated claims made by Carlson in the past, including a theory about Pete Buttigiegs sexuality. Carlson did not intervene as Yiannopoulos speculated that Buttigieg made himself gay and suggested that Carlsons gay employees believed Buttigieg was not really gay.

When asked about Carlsons comments, Buttigieg responded with humor, noting his morbid curiosity but confirmed no such conversation would occur. The network has reached out to Tucker Carlson for comment.
