Miley Cyrus Unable to Stop Vomiting While Talking About Her Engagement as Surprising Phobia is Revealed: ‘Makes Me Want to Vomit’

During her interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday, December 4, Miley Cyrus discussed her engagement and new song Dream as One for Avatar: Fire and Ash. However, the conversation took an unexpected turn when Cyrus disclosed a surprising fear: she has a severe phobia of paper.

Ive always been a bit of a grinch during Christmas I really dislike paper, Cyrus shared, visibly distressed while looking at notes on Kimmels desk. Just seeing it makes me want to throw up. The worst is when people with dry hands touch paper during the holidays. Thats when its unbearable.

Kimmel, clearly stunned, spent several minutes asking Cyrus more about her unusual fear, known medically as papyrophobia. The singer admitted she avoids opening letters, reading books or newspapers, and even staying away from cardboard though she makes an exception for rolling papers used for marijuana.

Honestly, one reason I got engaged is that I make my fianc handle packages outside, Cyrus said of her partner Maxx Morando, with whom she has been in a relationship for four years.

The singer revealed that her phobia is significant enough that she is considering seeking treatment. I cant even talk about it without gagging. Its a real phobia, and its impacting my daily life, she admitted.

This interview came just days after news of her engagement broke, with Cyrus showing off her gold ring at the premiere of the Avatar sequel. In another interview, she stated that she is in no rush to marry and wants to savor her time as a fiance.

When asked about signing a paper marriage certificate, a necessary step for any wedding, Cyrus humorously responded, From my last marriage, I think the paper was wax.
