'Sinners' Dominates 2026 Critics Choice Awards Nominations with 17 Nominations, Including Score & Song: Complete List

Ryan Cooglers horror hit Sinners dominates the 2026 Critics Choice Awards nominations, securing an impressive 17 nods. Among the nominations are Best Original Score for Ludwig Gransson and Best Original Song for I Lied to You, co-written by Gransson and Raphael Saadiq. The full list of nominations was revealed on Friday, December 5.

Following closely is Paul Thomas Andersons One Battle After Another with 14 nominations, including a nod for Jonny Greenwoods original score. Other leading films include Frankenstein and Hamnet with 11 nominations each, Marty Supreme with eight, F1, Sentimental Value, and Wicked: For Good with seven each, and Train Dreams with five.

Competing for Best Original Score alongside Gransson and Greenwood are Hans Zimmer for F1, Alexandre Desplat for Frankenstein, Max Richter for Hamnet, and Daniel Lopatin for Marty Supreme. The Best Original Song category also features Drive from F1, Golden from KPop Demon Hunters, Clothed by the Sun from The Testament of Ann Lee, Train Dreams from the film of the same name, and The Girl in the Bubble from Wicked: For Good.

On the television side, Netflixs Adolescence leads with six nominations, followed by Nobody Wants This with five. Several series, including All Her Fault, Death by Lightning, Ghosts, Hacks, Severance, and The Pitt, received four nominations each.

The Critics Choice Awards have introduced four new categories this year: Best Stunt Design, Best Casting/Ensemble, Best Sound for film, and Best Variety Series for television. Notably, Saturday Night Live is nominated for Best Variety Series, while SNL50: The Anniversary Special is in the running for Best Comedy Special alongside stand-up specials by Brett Goldstein, Caleb Hearon, Leanne Morgan, Marc Maron, and Sarah Silverman.

The 31st Critics Choice Awards will be hosted by Chelsea Handler for the fourth consecutive year and air live on January 4 on E! and USA Network at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The Golden Globes follow a week later on January 11, hosted by Nikki Glaser, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
