The first four episodes of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things started streaming last week, much to the excitement of fans who have been waiting since Season 4 aired in 2022.

However, a recent interview clip has gone viral, showing that Joseph Quinn, known for his role as Eddie Munson, appeared unaware that the new season had been released. During a conversation with his Warfare co-star Kit Connor, Joseph was asked if he had seen the first episode. He responded, Is it out?

Kit laughed and reminded him, You should know that, prompting Joseph to say, Its the 26th it comes out, no? to which Kit confirmed, Its been the 26th!

The clip quickly spread across social media, sparking discussions about Josephs seemingly casual attitude. Many fans criticized the actor for appearing indifferent about the show that brought him widespread recognition. Comments included statements like, I hate when actors are nonchalant about the roles that made them famous, and This indifferent attitude towards the show that put them on the map will never be funny to me.

Though Joseph Quinn had roles prior to Stranger Things, his portrayal of Eddie Munson earned him international fame. He has also appeared in other projects such as The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Gladiator II.

Some fans speculated that Josephs reaction might be intentional, either to tease a possible return of Eddie or to maintain secrecy about upcoming plot twists. Theories suggest he could appear in the second volume of Season 5 or that his character might somehow return before the finale.

Fans will have to wait to find out. Volume 1 of Stranger Things Season 5 is now streaming on Netflix. Volume 2 is scheduled for release on December 25, with the series finale set for December 31.
