Criscilla Anderson, known for her role on Country Ever After, has passed away at the age of 45 after battling colon cancer. Her death was confirmed through a posthumous Instagram tribute shared by her friend and photographer, Lindsey, on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
Initially diagnosed with colon cancer in 2018, the disease later spread, ultimately claiming her life. Alongside the announcement, photos of Criscilla across different stages of her life were shared, including images of her children: son Ethan and daughters Savannah, Emmarie, and Everleigh, whom she had with her ex-husband, country singer Coffey Anderson.
Lindsey wrote, My heart is broken to share this. I promised Criscilla I would support her whenever she couldnt stand on her own, and I hope she knew how deeply she was loved. Being by her side until the end was the greatest honor of my life.
Criscilla left behind a heartfelt message to her loved ones: If youre reading this, I have finally embraced peace in Jesus arms, surrounded by love. I fought with all my heart and loved deeply. I am not gone Im Home.
She also addressed her children directly: Ethan, you made me a mom. Im still cheering for you. Emmarie, my Jesus-loving dancer, continue dancing through every season. Everleigh, my bright spark, pursue your dreams boldly. Ill always be watching over you.
Criscilla expressed gratitude for her supportive circle, especially Lindsey, writing, To my family, thank you for your unconditional love. Take care of each other my love remains with you. Lindsey, thank you for capturing my life so beautifully. Be gentle with each other, hold my children close, and remember that heaven isnt far away. I love you all, always.
Coffey Anderson, her former husband, also shared an emotional tribute, highlighting her strength and resilience. He wrote, Criscilla defined strength like no one else. Heaven gained a star today. She said, if you see a butterfly, that will be me. Our hearts are shattered, and life will never be the same. Dance freely in heaven, without pain or limits.
Criscilla was a renowned hip-hop dancer who performed with artists such as Britney Spears, Rihanna, and Snoop Dogg. She also choreographed for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and appeared in a Netflix docuseries about the team. She and Coffey starred together in the Netflix series Country Ever After.
Criscilla is survived by her three children and her former stepdaughter. She and Coffey married in 2009, and he filed for divorce in 2022.
