Miley Cyrus shared an unusual fear during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 22, 2025. The singer explained that she experiences anxiety around paper, particularly when it is touched by dry hands, which makes the holiday season especially challenging for her.

Im a bit of a Grinch at Christmas because I have this issue with paper. Its particularly hard when people with dry hands handle itduring the holidays, everyones hands are dry and touching paper, Miley explained.

She admitted that her phobia has been intensifying and has begun to interfere with her daily routine. To manage it, she is seeking treatment, while her fianc, Maxx Morando, has been offering support.

Receiving an Amazon package makes me feel uneasy because the cardboard is the absolute worstso dry and layered with packaging. One of the reasons I love my fianc is that he opens all the packages outside for me, Miley added.

When host Jimmy Kimmel referenced the tradition of gifting paper for a first wedding anniversary, Miley humorously rejected the idea. Miley confirmed her engagement in a recent Good Morning America interview. She was previously married to Liam Hemsworth.
