Pete Hegseth's Misspelled Name Tag is Trending for Very Obvious Reasons

Pete Hegseth has experienced a challenging few weeks. He recently clashed with Arizona Senator Mark Kelly over the manner in which he showcased his military medals.

In addition, he became involved in a controversial military operation targeting suspected drug-smuggling vessels in the Caribbean, drawing further scrutiny.

Hegseth also faced criticism for sharing a cover of "Franklin the Turtle," which sparked backlash from the book's publisher.

Most recently, a significant gaffe occurred when his name card at a cabinet meeting went viral for an awkward typo. Instead of his proper title, the card read:

"SSECRETARY OF WAR"

Observers on social media were quick to comment. One noted, "Hegseth's name tag typo during all this chaos is straight out of a satirical show."

Others joked about the error, with remarks such as, "Errors like this didnt occur when DEI was still in practice," and "A perfect symbol of just how ridiculous Hegseth appears."

Some speculated it might have been a subtle act of protest by a frustrated staff member, while Gavin Newsom's press office humorously asked, "What does the 'SS' stand for? Fascinating!"
