Pedestrian sustains serious injuries in car collision

Authorities report that a woman has suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred around 17:10 GMT on Cheltenham High Street, which remains closed to traffic.

The injured pedestrian, a woman in her seventies, was transported to Southmead Hospital for urgent medical care, according to Gloucestershire Police.

Traffic has been redirected, with roadblocks in place on Rodney Road near the intersections with Imperial Square and Albion Street. Police are advising both drivers and pedestrians to steer clear of the area.
