Expecting Meghan McCain Expresses Frustration Over Being Labeled 'Overweight' Since Age 22 Following Hurtful Remarks

Meghan McCain is once again standing firm against public scrutiny over her appearance. The daughter of the late Senator John McCain has long faced harsh commentary online regarding both her opinions and looks, yet she continues to speak out confidently.

Recently, McCain addressed remarks about her weight made on The Tucker Carlson Show. She posted a message on X, stating, Yes, I am very fat. I'm almost nine months pregnant with my third child. I am also very happy. She criticized Carlson for discussing her body on a prominent platform, calling it inconsistent with the Christian values he frequently references.

McCain highlighted that such behavior is part of a larger issue, writing, This kind of meanness toward women and hypocrisy illustrates why many women of my generation are disenchanted with right-wing politics. She also reminded followers that body-shaming has been a constant in her life, beginning when she entered media at age 22, and dismissed it as repetitive and unoriginal.

During the Carlson segment, controversial comments were made by both Carlson and Milo Yiannopoulos, including mocking McCain's weight. In response, McCain emphasized her pregnancy and her joy, noting she is expecting her third child with husband Ben Domenech. They already have two daughters, Liberty Sage, 5, and Clover Jade, 2. McCain admitted she feels nervous about raising a son in addition to her daughters.

McCain has also faced backlash for other remarks on appearance. In September, she received criticism after mocking climate activist Greta Thunberg's hairstyle, which quickly drew attention to McCain's own past experimental hairstyles, revealing the irony of her comments.

Despite criticism, McCain continues to speak boldly on controversial topics. She recently criticized Megyn Kelly for downplaying Jeffrey Epstein's crimes and also questioned Violet Affleck's United Nations speech on mask-wearing, calling her a "nepo baby" and challenging the appropriateness of her platform.

Throughout these instances, McCain has maintained that legal definitions and factual accuracy should guide discussions, showing a consistent willingness to confront public figures and societal norms head-on.
