Teen to face court for assaulting man with belt

An 18-year-old man from Leicester has been formally charged with multiple robbery offenses following an attack involving a belt. Authorities were called to a property on Bath Lane on 22 November after reports indicated a group of men had entered the premises and assaulted a man.

Oluwatobiloba Akinrinola, 18, residing on Bath Lane, was apprehended on Wednesday and faces nine counts of robbery. He is scheduled to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court today.

Police confirmed that four of the charges are connected to the Bath Lane incident, while the remaining five relate to an earlier event in the Harborough district on 21 November.

The case is linked to 19-year-old Richile Vagnu from Bowes Road, Southgate, London, who recently appeared at Leicester Magistrates' Court. He faces nine robbery charges and one count of intentional suffocation and has been remanded in custody, with a hearing set at Leicester Crown Court on 12 January.

Another 19-year-old, also arrested during the investigation, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
