Reeves collaborated with Dano on The Batman, where Dano portrayed the villainous Riddler opposite Robert Pattinsons Batman.

Tarantinos remarks came during an appearance on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, where he listed his 20 favorite films of the 21st century. Discussing Paul Thomas Andersons There Will Be Blood, which Tarantino ranked fifth, he criticized Danos performance, calling it a major flaw in the film. Tarantino said, He is weak sauce, man. He is the weak sister The movie needs a strong presence opposite Daniel Day-Lewis, and it doesnt get it with Dano.

The directors comments sparked support for Dano from industry figures. I am really pleased to see so many people cheer on Paul Dano this week, said The Batman 2 screenwriter Mattson Tomlin. Not only is he a terrific actor, but hes an astonishing director who exudes control and tremendous empathy. Check out Wildlife if you havent seen it.
