Authorities have verified that human remains uncovered on farmland close to a Lincolnshire village belong to a 61-year-old man who had been missing for over two years.
Trevor Blanchard disappeared from the Spilsby area in June 2024, leading to extensive searches involving drones, helicopters, and search dogs.
A Lincolnshire Police representative confirmed that the remains found at Halten Holegate, a few miles from Spilsby, on 22 November were identified as Mr. Blanchard.
"Trevor's family has been informed of this outcome. We extend our deepest condolences to them and to everyone who knew Trevor during this incredibly difficult time," the spokesperson stated.
Police reported no indications of suspicious activity or foul play and requested that the family be allowed privacy as they cope with this tragic development.
