Maurice DuBois to Leave 'CBS Evening News' After Co-Anchor John Dickerson's Departure

Maurice DuBois revealed on Thursday morning that he will be stepping down from his role at CBS Evening News on December 18. Sharing the news on Instagram, DuBois wrote, December 18th marks my final broadcast with CBS News. It has truly been the honor of a lifetime.

Reflecting on his career, he added, Over the past 21 years, including my tenure at WCBS-TV in New York City, Ive had the privilege of bringing the news to your homes every evening, meeting remarkable individuals, and sharing their stories.

DuBois concluded his message with gratitude, saying, I leave with immense appreciation, treasured connections, and unforgettable memories. Just a few weeks left; until then, catch me on The CBS Evening News nightly at 6:30.

This announcement follows shortly after co-anchor John Dickerson revealed his departure and comes two months after Bari Weiss took on the role of editor-in-chief of the newsroom.
